Event Organization
Water Safety Management and Consultation

With owner A.J. Miller having competed in Lifesaving Competitions since 2001 and owner Cassie Miller having a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management (including Event Planning and Hotel Sales from University of Central Florida) hosting, managing and assisting in event coordination/setup is one of their favorite aspects of Fetch.
Fetch Watersports & Safety is available for opportunities including :
-site and course setup
-proper resource allocation and management
-recruitment, proper placement and managing of water safeties during races
-assisting with video production needs to ensure competitors safety
-hotel negotiations for group rates, rebates and manage rooming lists
-EMS, Law Enforcement and Emergency Services liaison
In addition to organizing our open water competitions, A.J. is a USMS Open Water Certified Safety Director and experienced in acting as Swim Course Director for open water events, including UANA PanAmerican Masters Championship 2018, CLASH Daytona & CLASH Miami (formerly Challenge Daytona & Challenge Miami) since 2019, CLASH Watkins Glen 2022, St. Anthony’s Triathlon 2022 & 2023, Lucky’s Golden Mile 2021 and all Fetch events including Fetch Fest (full day of sprint style races) and M-Shape (distance format).

Lifesaving Sport Coaching

A.J. started his love for the water with surfing Ponce Inlet & Sunglow Pier as a kid. He then became a member of the swim team while at Spruce Creek High School. A.J. has been an open water lifeguard and competing in the Lifesaving Sport for 20 years.
He has national titles in his age group as well as Top Male Points for the USLA Southeast Region for 2015, 2017 & 2018. You can read more about A.J.’s experience in the About Us section.

Individual Coaching
One on One coaching specified to the trainee’s skill level.
Coaching includes techniques specific to lifesaving sport competitions.
Group Coaching
Group Sessions are available at a reduced rate.
This session although geared towards the same techniques as Individual Coaching, does not have the One on One experience.
CPR Instruction
A.J. Miller and the Pirata Surf Club in Puerto Rico
A.J. (Owner/Instructor of Fetch Watersports and Safety LLC) has been instructing CPR through the American Heart Association since 2011. A.J. has taught a variety of students including chiropractors, surf instructors, yoga instructors, medical offices and parenting groups. In addition to teaching CPR, given A.J.’s experience in lifesaving he has had the unfortunate circumstance of having many real life experiences which he incorporates into class for the betterment of the students.
